Waiting for Henry blossomed out of the REM, Replacements, Del Fuegos movement that climaxed in the early 1990's but left a void for hard driven rock and roll with intelligent lyrics and meaningful stories. Waiting for Henry are more than capable of continuing the tradition. "Gutterball" is from the Extended Play Sessions recording in December 2017.
"...my sun rises in the middle of the night, somewhere down the line. Tell me, does it matter? Or is it just a matter of time?..." Dave Slomin and Dave Ashdown are at their best when hearts are breaking in retrospect and the darkness of life can find a candle. This is one of the highlights of an evening of great intelligent, driving rock and roll.

John Apice, NoDepression ”…they never seem to lose momentum or inspiration. Some songs burn, some smolder and some are slow silent fiery embers… they conjure great rock spirits."
Waiting for Henry combine the intensity of Nirvana with the blue-collar Midwestern splendor of the Replacements with the social spit of REM...it's the New York meets Chicago blend of Dave Slomin and Dave Ashdown that make Waiting for Henry so compelling. This is timeless music when it seems like time's up and divides are too broad.
